The Limits of Perimeter Defense and Threat Models in the AI Era: Why We Built and Launched the Security Audit Platform Guardia.Vision

Cyber attacks on crypto-asset exchanges, financial institutions and core web infrastructure have intensified in recent years, in Japan and abroad. AI-driven automated vulnerability scanning, ever more sophisticated social engineering, and leaks of private keys and credentials originating in the supply chain have pushed the attacker's cost and speed to levels that bear no comparison with the past.

The conventional perimeter model, "we installed a firewall, so we are safe" or "we passed the annual security assessment, so there is no problem", is in practice breaking down. Time and again we have watched a single intrusion or data leak translate directly into capital outflows in the tens of billions of yen and into threats to business continuity.

For Optlynx, which has spent years building high-availability infrastructure and working in financial engineering and data analysis, this upheaval in the threat environment is no distant fire. If attack methods are becoming autonomous and more advanced, then defense and monitoring architectures must evolve into continuous, autonomous verification models as well.

Against this backdrop, we systematized our own operational knowledge and verification processes and launched Guardia.Vision, a security platform that makes the safety of web infrastructure and assets visible and hardens it.

It goes beyond deploying tools or running formal checks. It is a practical solution that verifies tamper resistance and availability against real attack scenarios and continuously audits latent leakage risk. In a digital economy of ever-increasing uncertainty, we will keep providing a robust foundation that safeguards the continuity of business and capital.
